The ideal candidate will have completed Grade 12 and hold a Certified Arborist Technician designation, as well as an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certification. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in the arboriculture field is required, along with a strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence. The successful candidate must also obtain a WUAA/HEBC Falling & Bucking Endorsement, a Pesticide Applicator's License, and certifications in Chainsaw Safety and Fall Protection within six months of being hired. A qualification as a Tree Risk Assessor would be considered an asset. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Police Information Check for offences related to the position. A baseline hearing test is required. to operational need. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver's license with Air Endorsement (or out of province equivalent) is required. Applicants who meet the one-year experience requirement and have completed coursework in arboriculture, horticulture, or a related discipline may also be considered.
