Description
We are seeking an equipment operator to join our Parks and Solid Waste Team! In this role, you will be responsible for operating and performing minor servicing on equipment, primarily the plow/sand truck. As a skilled operator, you will navigate equipment in areas with restricted movement and will be expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Additionally, you will maintain records and carry out related duties as needed. Permanent (seasonal) winter positions are subject to layoffs and are recalled annually.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, a valid Class 5 BC driver's license, and at least one year of experience operating equipment, including plows/sand trucks. This role requires considerable independence, a strong safety record, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
