Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Project Coordinator - Civil will assist in managing capital projects, site inspections for ongoing land development projects, reviewing and processing ULAs, and other engineering responsibilities. This position will work with various individuals (internal and/or external) to facilitate/manage planning, execution, and monitoring of assigned projects, and independently manage smaller project tasks or projects as required. The position will also provide support in planning reviews, preparing responses to council/public queries, managing contracts and closing of projects, and issuance of Construction Completion Certificates, including inspections.

We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has a strong understanding of the land development construction industry, specifically with deep utility installation (water, sanitary, storm) and surface infrastructure (walks, trails, curbs, roads, lanes)
- Demonstrates knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to the project
- Exhibits general knowledge of relevant codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures (OH&S, Environmental, Builders Lien Act, etc.)
- Is able to effectively interact and communicate complex technical information, orally and in writing, to the public and various stakeholders
- Boasts strong project coordination/management skills

Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience
- Registered or eligible to be registered with APEGA or ASET
- Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
Asset Qualifications:
- Municipal experience is preferred
- Project Management Professional Designation is an asset

This is a temporary 1-year term position. Based on a 35-hour work week, the salary range for this position is $71,799 - $91,346 per annum.
