Requirements

What you bring

  • We're looking for a leader who blends strong engineering depth with a passion for developing people and improving systems. We're looking for someone who brings:
  • Significant experience in power generation, including gas turbines, with leadership experience guiding technical teams.
  • The ability to interpret complex plant systems and translate that into effective asset strategies, troubleshooting approaches, and long‑term planning.
  • A leadership style that inspires accountability, continuous learning, and collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working across operations, engineering, and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of NERC/CIP regulations.


Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited education institution.
  • Seven (7) years of directly related experience in the Power Generation field and Gas Turbine experience including five (5) years in a supervisory management capacity.
  • Registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), in good standing.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset.
  • Possession of a Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • An equivalent combination of management approved education, training and experience may be considered.
