The Saanich Information Technology Department is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and technical leadership across the organization. The department is responsible for preserving and advancing key systems and infrastructure that support efficient and secure operations. IT staff provide expertise in planning and implementing technology solutions, developing policies and procedures, offering help desk and training support, managing telephone systems and network services, and maintaining corporate business systems and mapping tools such as SaanichMap, ServiceNow ,  Microsoft Sharepoint , Microsoft Power Platform , Sql databases and other Enterprise tools.

We are currently seeking a Systems Analyst II to join our Enterprise Applications team. This position is responsible for managing the full life cycle of corporate business systems; from analyzing requirements and implementing solutions to supporting end users and optimizing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for application configuration and support, vendor coordination, troubleshooting technical issues, creating documentation, and participating in system upgrades and enhancement projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful technological initiatives in a diverse and engaging municipal environment.

Requirements

Requirements include a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; four years of recent experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-level software applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience managing application lifecycles—including configuration, integration, and vendor coordination—for both on-premises and cloud-based (SaaS) environments. Experience delivering tier 2/3 application support and collaborating with business users to implement enhancements and resolve technical issues is essential. We are looking for a candidate who has extensive knowledge supporting SQL server-based applications, has extensive experience administering Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform. Experience with ServiceNow, Power Bi, Tempest, JDE, Microsoft Co-Pilot will be considered an asset as well as ITIL Foundations certification. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week).

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $48.10 per hour and an excellent benefits package.
