Reporting to the Division Manager, Water Operations, the Manager, Maintenance and Construction provides leadership and direction in the operation, maintenance, and construction of the City’s water distribution systems and compliance with legislation for the City’s drinking water in accordance with Ontario Regulation 170/03; Drinking Water Systems, under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002. The Manager, Maintenance and Construction, supervises a team of employees and oversees the duties of the Overall Responsible Operators for the municipal drinking water distribution system, including all activities conducted by the Operators-in-Charge performing operational tasks on the City’s drinking water distribution system.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a University Degree or a three-year Community College program in a related field, or equivalent.
- Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in a related field, including extensive supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and related professional and lived community experience.
- Current MECP Ontario Drinking Water Operator Certificate – Water Distribution Class 4 is an asset.
Compensation & Other Information:
$100,395 - $131,441
This posting is for 1 permanent, full-time position.
Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: On-site.
