Cedar Hill Recreation Centre on Cedar Hill Campus is seeking an Art Program Technician to focus on general ceramics studio operation, ceramics programs, art studio drop-in and other related arts programs.  The successful candidate will assist in the development and delivery of programs, including:  program planning, implementation, promotion, evaluation, staff recruitment, and supervision of instructional and technical staff as well as coordination of schedules and logistics for studio programs and services.

The successful candidate will work varying hours of work including daytime, evenings and weekend shifts (minimum 28 hours per week).  Hours and shifts are subject to change with operational needs.

Requirements

Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; minimum one year experience in supervision and leadership in arts programming and studio operations in a community setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence as required, and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months. Renewal of PIC-VS is required as per policy.

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with an hourly wage of $37.07 (2024 rate) plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
