Are you customer service oriented? Love a fast-paced environment with a range of duties? The District of Saanich is seeking an energetic and professional Parks Clerk II to join our administrative team. Reporting to the Manager of Parks Administration, the Parks Clerk II supervises and participates in the work of a team of Parks Clerks by performing administrative and clerical duties including relief assignments in Parks Administration for vacation, sick leave, and workload relief. The ideal candidate will have solid administrative and clerical experience in a variety of software programs, handling several different administrative tasks and experience interacting with the public. The successful candidate will undertake workflow process reviews, implement administrative best management practices, and foster a healthy and respectful workplace.

Requirements

Requirements include: completion of Grade 12 plus an additional certificate in office management, public administration, or related discipline; and three years’ related experience in an administrative capacity including two years of supervisory experience with preference in a municipal operations environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week).

As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $39.72 per hour plus an excellent benefits package. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
