Description
Parkland County has a permanent full-time Equipment Maintenance Supervisor position available in the Public Works Services Department.  Reporting to the Manager, Fleet & Facilities, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Parkland County’s equipment and vehicle maintenance and repairs. This position is responsible for supervision and leadership of the vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair staff to support Fleet operations for the County. This position also supports the purchasing and disposal of fleet assets and monitors the equipment pool operating budget.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Post Secondary Education or Trade Certificate in a related discipline.
  • Professional experience directly related to maintenance and repairs of light duty and heavy-duty road construction and maintenance equipment, including welding repairs and processes as well as preventative and scheduled maintenance.
  • The proven ability to communicate effectively in a maintenance and repair setting with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Supervision or mentorship experience of vehicle/equipment maintenance and repair staff.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with fleet specific financial operations software, asset management software, procurement software in addition to the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License. A current Driver’s Abstract must be provided. 
Salary & Benefits

The total rewards package for this position includes:

A starting annual salary of $84,800 to $108,300 based on a 40-hour work week.
