Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent; two-year post-secondary diploma in arboriculture or horticulture; two years progressive experience in the field of urban forestry including climbing, pruning, removing, rigging and assessing trees and providing direction to others in the work; ISA Certificate; ISA Tree Risk Assessor Qualification and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with air endorsement. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. depending on the season, and must have sufficient health, physical condition, strength, stamina and co-ordination to permit performance of duties.
As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.
