The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a casual Climbing Wall Attendant. Under the direction of the Aquatics Manager or designate the Climbing Wall Attendant is responsible for the operation and safety supervision of the climbing wall. The shifts will vary and will be scheduled Monday through Sunday.
What You’ll Do:
- Provides instruction and ensures safety for climbing participants and programs.
- Monitors climbing wall conditions and safety of equipment as necessary.
- Ensures that equipment is in good working order.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of the climbing wall.
- Assists the Climbing Wall Lead in special maintenance, route setting, and cleaning.
The ideal candidate possesses the capacity to perform all duties in a safe manner while fostering positive relationships with both the public and fellow staff. Please include copies of any relevant certification with your application.
Requirements:
- Current Standard First Aid Certification.
- Minimum 19-years of age.
- Physical agility and ability to complete duties required.
- Compliance with and approval of Security/Reliability Clearance and Criminal Record Search
- The ability to perform all the duties outlined above in a safe manner following established Facilities Procedures, Occupational Health and Safety rules, Violence in the Workplace policies and W.S.B.C. Regulations (i.e., WHMIS).
