As the Senior Manager, Integrated Project Services, you will be accountable for setting strategic direction and leading the execution of enabling project support functions, both within Infrastructure Services, and across the corporation. You will provide direction to a multidisciplinary team of managers and specialists who play a vital role in enabling the effective delivery, monitoring, and reporting of engineering and project management supports. Your leadership in governance and strategic advice will be key to mitigating organizational and financial risks, while supporting infrastructure project development and delivery. This role ensures that integrated project services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and strategically - enabling high-quality infrastructure outcomes and maximizing value for Calgarians. Primary duties include:

  • Set the strategic direction and operating model for integrated project services (field surveying, drafting, mapping, project controls, and project management).
  • Drive business performance, productivity, and service quality across all functions, with clear key metrics and accountability.
  • Align services with corporate priorities and citizen outcomes, ensuring value delivery for Calgarians.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, efficiency, and service delivery.
  • Ensure consistent standards, tools, and processes across capital delivery support functions (e.g., CAD standards, estimating practices, scheduling methodology).
  • Build strong partnerships with delivery teams, business units, and corporate partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on project services strategy and performance.
  • Ensure services are responsive to internal clients and external partners, supporting effective project outcomes.
  • Provide regular insights on service performance, capacity, risks, and trends to leadership.
Requirements
  • A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field combined with at least 10 years of progressively senior management and leadership of teams within a complex organization.
  • A master's in business administration (MBA) is strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
  • Experience creating and executing business and corporate wide action plans based upon business analytics, client needs, and aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Experience and success in creating and executing a strategic vision and direction for a complex organization or division, ideally in a service-based environment is a preferred asset.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an asset.
  • Aligning with City corporate values, you have a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams, driving transformational change, and using metrics to enhance organizational performance. You bring strategic vision, exceptional communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, interested parties, and elected officials.
Salary & Benefits

$191,515 - $239,394 per annum
