Location: Public Works, Aldersyde
Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometers located in the foothills of southern Alberta. We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on both light and heavy equipment such as trucks, trailers, loaders, graders, tractors, snowplows, sanders and light duty vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Journeyman Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic with 3 years related experience.
- 4th year apprentices may be considered.
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment.
- CVIP Certification would be considered an asset.
- Valid Class 3 AB Drivers Licence would be considered an asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills with ability to demonstrate initiative, build positive relationships and strong partnerships with team members and customers (internal and external).
