The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- A Post-Secondary Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or another field related to Municipal Engineering.
- Formal training in Project Management or Construction Management of Municipal Infrastructure design and construction.
- Eligibility for registration with the Association of Science & Engineering Technology (ASET) as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) is required. A Professional Technologist (P. Tech) is considered an asset.
- A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience working as a municipal technologist including project management of capital roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, and other related infrastructure projects.
- Strong administrative, written and oral communication skills are required. Demonstrated organizational, technical, interpersonal and project coordination skills.
- Understanding of developing contracts and specifications along with experience in applying contacts and specifications during management and oversight of municipal engineering projects.
- Ability to contribute to discussions and assist in resolving issues under guidance. Demonstrates collaborative problem-solving skills in routine project tasks.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some database and AutoCAD experience would be preferred.
Requirements:
- Ability to primarily work in-person at Parkland County Centre – 53109A HWY 779, Parkland County, AB.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license and current, satisfactory driver’s abstract provided upon hire.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required upon hire, excluding candidates under the age of 18 and current Parkland County employees.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

A Starting Salary of:
$91,400 to $102,800 per year
Max Salary Potential:
$115,600 per year
