Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12
- Lifeguard/Instructor certifications including National Lifeguard Certification (Pool Option), Lifesaving Swim Instructor Certification, CPR “C”, Pool Operators I, Lifesaving Instructor
- One advanced aquatics training course such as Lifesaving Trainer, National Lifeguard Instructor, First Aid Instructor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Basic First Aid certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Lifeguard/Instructor
This is a CUPE bargaining unit position based on a 40-hour work week, and subject to Article 1(d) - Probationary Period as set out in the Union Collective Agreement. The hourly wage is $35.06, increasing to $36.91 after 60 working days (Jan 2026 Rates). Set hours as determined which may be rotated through the full-time team. Hours of work will be 40 hours per week including evening and weekend shifts. Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo a criminal record check and/or a verification of their education credentials.
