The Engineering Department is seeking a full-time Strategic Business Improvements Manager to help shape how we deliver services, making our work simpler, effective, and more consistent for residents and internal departments. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead the department’s process improvement, value management, and quality management programs by planning, organizing, staffing, and guiding program activities.
In this role, you will build and advance a structured process improvement program and lead end-to-end strategic business process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, from identifying opportunities through implementation and benefits realization. You will collaborate with other departments to identify and manage cross-department process changes, bring feasible improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, rapid improvement events, and a strong service-excellence approach, delivering measurable results across departmental activities while leveraging technology to streamline workflows, strengthen data-driven decision-making and improve performance reporting.
Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Process Engineering, Finance, Business Management or a related discipline or field; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; registered with a relevant professional designation, such as CPA/MBA, P.Eng., PMP or PROSCI Change Management; Value Analysis/Engineering Certification will be considered an asset; 6 years of experience in a combination of program, project and operational management including experience/responsibility managing diverse / complex projects and teams; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
