Location: High River, AB
This position will be responsible for the coordination, scheduling and deployment of the radar speed trailers and the collection and analysis of data from these trailers to assist with the development of traffic safety initiatives within Foothills County under the general direction of the Manager of Enforcement Services. This position will assist with the development of informational programming relating to cyclists and motor vehicle interface concerns. This position will include engagement/job shadow opportunities with Community Peace Officers conducting traffic and bylaw enforcement. Other duties for this position will include assisting the Emergency Management Coordinator with researching, compiling and drafting resources, contact and dispatch response lists and provide assistance in the development of other emergency management projects as required.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Good comprehension of written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to review, analyze and interpret data.
- Current Driver’s Abstract must be submitted with application.
- Criminal Records check is required for successful candidate.
- Ability to research and interpret legislation and practices relating to Municipal Bylaws and Emergency Management.
