We are seeking a Senior Development Engineering Technologist to join our Development Services team within the Engineering Department where you will play a key role in delivering new municipal infrastructure through land development. What you’ll do

  • Lead the technical review of complex development applications and set engineering requirements for the project, ensuring the proper infrastructure is in place to support the proposal.
  • Guide developments from the pre-application phase through to construction with confidence and professionalism.
  • Provide expert guidance on municipal engineering standards, servicing, and construction
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, developers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Requirements include a two-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution and a minimum of six years of directly related experience; registered as an AScT with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC; and a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (7 hours per day, 35 hours per week), with variation of work hours, flex days, and part-time work from home available. In addition to the interview process, testing will be conducted.  Although we thank all applicants for applying, only those under consideration will be contacted.

This is a C.U.P.E.
