The Recreation Division at Gordon Head Recreation Centre is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Recreation Receptionist to support our front desk operations. As the first point of contact for many visitors, this role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and informative environment for patrons. We're seeking someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent service, and assisting the public with program registrations, inquiries, and general information.
As a Recreation Receptionist, you will perform a variety of clerical and cashiering tasks including handling program registration, answering telephone and in-person inquiries, maintaining filing systems, typing correspondence, processing payments and refunds, and preparing daily deposits. You will also provide administrative support to facility staff and ensure smooth communication between departments and the public.
Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, and a minimum of six months of experience working in an administrative office setting with reception counter experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently at the front desk and have strong communication and customer service skills.
The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
