Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking certified aquatics fitness instructors to deliver our aquafit programs.

Instructor IIIs under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer or Program Technician, ensures that participants are acting in accordance to facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Aquafit Instructors are responsible for providing leadership in the program and this may include planning and preparing assigned activities; instructing assigned classes; record keeping and public relations.

Requirements

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; certification and training in area of instruction; three months experience; Emergency First-Aid and CPR “C” as required; and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (PIC-VS).

Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including daytime, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change). As a component of this competition testing will be conducted. Although we thank all applicants for applying, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Salary & Benefits
