You have completed a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and/or Safety from an accredited post-secondary institution. A safety-related professional designation, such as CRSP or CHSC, would be an asset. You should have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the health and safety field. Equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience may also be considered. Experience working within the Worker’s Compensation Act and the WorkSafe BC OHS Regulations is essential. A demonstrated ability to provide a customer-focused approach to service delivery is required to support employees and Occupational Health & Safety Committee representatives. Additionally, you have experience in developing an OH&S safety program and managing related software. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License (or out of province equivalent) is required.
