Description
As a core member of the Environmental Services team, the Waterworks Manager will oversee the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of Yorkton’s Class IV Wastewater Treatment and Class III Water Treatment systems. This leadership role ensures our water and wastewater systems are safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the water or wastewater industry (or similar field), with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations, process control, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with the Waterworks and Sewage Works Regulations, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Environmental Management and Protection Act, and other relevant legislation.
Preferred:
- A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- One or more Class 3 or higher certifications in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Wastewater Treatment.
- Construction project experience, including reviewing drawings and working with consultants.
Other Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License
- RCMP security clearance
Salary & Benefits
This position has an annual salary range of $110,000 - $125,000, and a comprehensive Benefit and Pension Plan.
