Parkland County has an opportunity for a temporary, full-time Corporate Planning & Reporting Analyst position in the Growth & Strategy department, working until approximately September 2026.  Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Engagement, the Corporate Planning & Reporting Analyst supports the development and implementation of the County’s performance measurement program. This position contributes to the analysis and application of outcomes of the strategic and corporate plans, programs and services to support transparent governance through regular performance reporting. The Corporate Planning & Reporting Analyst conducts research, analyzes and interprets data, and works with departments to assist in delivering business intelligence and strategic advice. This position will support the development and maintenance of a continuous improvement culture including a focus on evidence-based decision making and performance measurement. Additionally, this position advances Parkland County’s commitment to strategic and corporate planning by facilitating the development of department business plans, ensuring the alignment with the County’s Strategic Plan and organizational core values including integrating business plans with Parkland County’s budget to support effective service delivery of municipal operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Statistics or related field is required.
  • Formal performance measurement and metrics analyzing training is considered an asset.
  • PuMP certification and/or Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) are considered assets.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in performance measurement and strategic planning analytics and application.
  • Knowledge and technical experience working within strategy and operations of municipal government including public policies and procedures to support efficient service delivery.
  • Exceptional research, data analysis, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, data visualization tools (such as PowerBI or Tableau) and the ability to learn and adapt to new programs.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license and ability to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
Salary & Benefits

The total rewards package for this position includes:

A starting annual salary of $82,300 to $89,000, based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
