Applicants must have the following qualifications:
-Completion of Grade 12.
-Lifeguard/Instructor certification including National Lifeguard Certification (Pool Option), Lifesaving Swim Instructor Certification, CPR “C”, Pool Operators I, Lifesaving Instructor.
-One advanced aquatics training course is required such as Lifesaving Trainer, National Lifeguard Instructor, First Aid Instructor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Valid Basic First Aid certification.
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Lifeguard/Instructor.
This is a CUPE bargaining unit position based on a 40-hour work week. Set hours as determined which may be rotated through the full-time team and will include evenings and weekends. The hourly wage is $33.72, increasing to $35.49 upon successful completion of probation (Jan 2025 Rates).
