Requirements

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring complete and accurate recording and reporting of information to all general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and Inter-Municipal billings within the Finance Department and provide support to all areas of Finance.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting and finance.
  • A candidate working towards the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or a recently graduated CPA.
  • Strong technical skills in evaluating, investigating, and interpreting budgets and planning and forecasting information.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Must be analytical with accurate data input skills and be detail oriented.
  • Strong computer and Database management skills and experience with WorkTech/Pearl and Great Plains Dynamics would be considered an asset.
