The primary role of the Economic Development Officer is to support investment attraction and business expansion and retention in alignment with Foothills County Council’s strategic plan to increase employment opportunities and enhance the quality of life for residents within Foothills County and the region.
The candidate will have a broad knowledge of provincial and municipal legislation with proven facilitation, public speaking and negotiation skills. The candidate will also require a university degree or certification in the areas of Economic Development, Commerce, Rural Planning, Marketing, Communications and/or Business Administration or relevant field with a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in the field of Economic Development.
