Saanich Street Operations is seeking an Operations Worker I. The successful applicant will perform manual work related to the maintenance and construction of roadways and sidewalks. These duties will include sidewalk prep, forming and pouring of concrete; assisting with the placement and maintenance of asphalt surfaces; assisting with the placement of stonework and concrete pavers; assisting with responding to storm events; performing flagging duties..

Requirements

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent; One year experience in civil works related to road Maintenance/Construction activities; Occupational First Aid Level I Certification; Traffic Control Person Certificate; Annual renewal of Drivers' Abstract; Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with Air Brakes Endorsement; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). In addition to the interview process, testing will be conducted.  We thank all applicants for applying. Only those under consideration will be contacted.

Salary & Benefits
