Saanich Street Operations is seeking an Operations Worker II who will be responsible for completing a variety of maintenance and construction tasks in support of our Concrete and Carpentry team. The Operations Worker II will perform work that requires skills and abilities in a wide variety of civil works related to road maintenance and construction with a focus on concrete assets. Duties include: assisting carpenters, tasks pertinent to installation, repair, upgrade, and control of roads, especially concrete sidewalks, driveways and other structures and will at times involve directing others in their work.

Requirements

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent; two years’ experience in Roads Construction and/or Maintenance or above ground assets; Occupational First Aid Level I Certificate; Annual renewal of Drivers' Abstract; Traffic Control Person Certificate; Valid Class 3 BC Driver's Licence with an air brake endorsement and sufficient health, physical conditioning, strength, stamina, and coordination to permit performance of heavy manual work in all weather conditions. 

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted. Only those under consideration will be contacted.

Salary & Benefits
