The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the areas of municipal/public accounting, the Municipal Government Act (MGA), budgeting, planning, business modeling and forecasting.
- Strong technical skills to evaluate, investigate, and interpret information related to budgets, plans, and forecasts.
- Proven ability to work and solve problems independently and collaboratively and integrate as a valuable team member.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 or complex financial systems and the ability to access and manipulate data from various financial and non-financial information systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel is required.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
A starting annual salary of $90,500 to $101,800, based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
