Description
The focus of these positions is to provide lifeguarding functions, instruct swimming lessons, assist in the operation of an aquatic facility and respond to a variety of customer requests and concerns. The hours are flexible and varied involving morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. The purpose of this posting is to develop a contingency list of pre-selected qualified candidates to fill existing or future vacancies in the position. The City will review applications on an ongoing basis
Requirements
You have completed Grade 10 as well as current certificates and awards as follows:
• National Lifeguard Award – Pool Option
• Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor
o Eight (8) hours of teaching experience.
• Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED
The following awards will be considered an asset:
• Lifesaving Instructor Award
• Certified BCRPA Aquafit Instructor
Salary & Benefits
Enjoy a competitive wage of $30.77 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
