If you enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of outdoor power equipment including chain saws, line trimmers, mowers, blowers, snow equipment and, landscaping and construction equipment, this position may be a perfect fit for you. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent.
- BC Trade Qualification or inter-provincial Motorcycle Technician, Motorcycle and Power Equipment Technician or Outdoor Power Equipment Technician.
- Minimum three years previous experience in small engine repair work and currently working in the trade.
- Ability to obtain a Fall Protection Equipment Inspector Certification, or equivalent, within 6 months.
- Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence.
For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE local 900 position. This job posting will be open until filled.
