Description
The District of Saanich is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant who will be responsible for assisting the Preschool Instructor in managing and facilitating activities in the Nature Preschool Program at Beaver/Elk Lake.  The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation of the full year outdoor early childhood program including setup and clean-up of the room and equipment, lead children in activities as directed by the Preschool Instructor and provide program activity feedback to the Preschool Instructor. 

Requirements

Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; three months experience in related area of instruction; satisfactory Police Information Check with vulnerable sector; and current Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C. Must be an outdoor enthusiast who will adapt to all types of weather while educating children outside.  

The successful candidate will be available to work the anticipated hours of Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (hours/shifts are subject to change). As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E.
