Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will contribute to the success of the Town by supporting key HR functions such as recruitment and onboarding, payroll processing, HCM data analytics and reporting and general HR administration. The Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with the HR team to ensure efficient HR service delivery and provide critical support across various HR functions.

Requirements
  • University degree or College diploma with specialization in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation required (or working towards).
  • One (1) year of progressive, related experience in Human Resources, preferably in a municipal setting.
  • Knowledge of HR tools and systems available to support HR reporting and employee information (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, HRIS, Indeed, Applicant Tracking Systems) and Human Resources Information Systems (knowledge of Dayforce preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HR legislation in Ontario, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act 2000, WSIB, Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Human Rights.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, procedures, and processes.
  • Strong organization, active listening, and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact and sound professional judgement when responding to matters concerning sensitive personal information.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills with superior conflict resolution.
  • Ability to participate as an effective team member, supporting departmental/organizational goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand key initiatives and deliver results effectively and in a timely manner.
Salary & Benefits

This is an eighteen (18) month contract opportunity at the Town. The annual  salary range for this role is $65,975.00 - $77,186.20 (2024 Rate). The Town also offers the following to our employees:
