The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in Urban Forestry or related program/field of study, with a minimum two (2) years of experience working in a municipal environment or equivalent training and experience in arboriculture. They will be a member or eligibility for membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute with the ability to complete continuing education units (CEU’s) to maintain ISA Certified Arborist certification. They will have applied, technical knowledge of applicable land use planning legislation, regulations, policies, by-laws, standards, processes and best practices. They will also have technical knowledge of reviewing Arborist reports and Landscape Plans. The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and written.
Compensation includes an annual salary of $78,345 – $94,014, and includes a comprehensive health, benefit and pension package.
