Description
Town of Inuvik is looking for a full-time, experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Officer will be responsible for providing financial support to the Director of Finance and the staff at Town of Inuvik. This position will also include assisting in the planning and implementation of financial plans, reporting and analysis, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Finance or a combination of education and experience in the field
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the cultural and political dynamics of the North

Preference will be given to those candidates that:

  • Have a relevant post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting
  • Working knowledge of GAAP

Equivalencies recognizing related education and experience may be considered.

The salary range is approximately $72,657.00– $95,901.00 per annum with a Northern Allowance of approximately $14,661.00 per annum.
