This position plans and develops strategies for the most effective use of available resources to complete the numerous maintenance activities the Operations Department performs daily. These activities will include operating and maintaining roads, parks, and the Town’s Cemetery.
The successful candidate will provide input on hiring external contractors for various maintenance activities, administer the commissioning process for capital assets, and verify that inspections, approvals, certificates, warranties, operating and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings have been completed. This position also provides input in planning for future infrastructure needs and troubleshooting all aspects of the Operational Services Department.

The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of related experience in the operation and maintenance of parks, green space, roads, fleet, facilities, and Cemetery management and 2-3 years of supervisory experience. Formal training in parks and road maintenance, an undergraduate degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering would be preferred.
The Town of Osoyoos offers a comprehensive benefits package. The salary compensation range is $91,549 – $101,722 (2023 Rate).
