Regular working schedule is 4 days on and 3 days off (four 10-hour days). Shifts will vary based on operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses related to the work, plus some related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Bylaw Enforcement and Investigative Skills Certification (Level 1) – Justice Institute or equivalent. Proficient using Microsoft Office and Outlook, GIS, and Records Management Systems (i.e., Tempest).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated use of sound judgement.
- Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
- As some patrols may be conducted on bicycle, some training in the safe use and operations of bicycles would be an asset.
- Valid B.C. Driver’s License.
