Location: Medicine Hat, Alberta On-site

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team and lead our public participation initiatives in this new position.

 

What You'll Do:

Develop and Implement Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive public participation strategies that ensure diverse and inclusive input from all stakeholders.

Facilitate Engaging Events: Plan and conduct interactive workshops, town hall meetings, and online forums to gather public input and feedback.

Build Collaborative Relationships: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of public participation efforts.

Analyze and Synthesize Data: Collect and analyze data from public engagement activities to provide actionable insights and recommendations for decision-makers.

Communicate Effectively: Craft compelling messages and materials to communicate complex information in an accessible and engaging manner to diverse audiences.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance public participation strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field from a recognized post secondary institution.

Five (5) years experience in the public sector in public engagement, communications, public relations, or marketing.

International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) training/professional designation as a Public Participation Professional or eligible to obtain IAP2 certification/designation.

Possess and maintain a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
