Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance and development for a strong operational unit of customer service representatives including recruitment, performance management, performance appraisals, learning plans and team building
- Ensure service expectations are met for client satisfaction and for the safety of RCMP, municipal staff and the public
- Establish schedules, mediate employee conflicts, ensure National and Divisional RCMP policies and procedures are followed
- First response to client inquiries at the front counter of the RCMP Detachment
- Receive, generate, and process front counter inquiries for investigative and information files, as well as prepare complaint files for RCMP and Enforcement Services
- Use professionalism, knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, bylaws, criminal and civil law to provide clients with advice, guidance, and direction to the appropriate resource(s)
- Data entry into RCMP & Enforcement Services record management systems
- Complete, process and document criminal records checks using CPIC; notify RCMP personnel of applicants with outstanding warrants for arrest
- Review and process payments for Receiver General of Canada and Strathcona County
- Control building access and security
Skills and Abilities
- Requires working knowledge of RCMP and County policies and procedures, Criminal Code, federal and provincial statues, municipal bylaws, and the Canadian Legal System and court documents
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory abilities
- Ability to maintain a professional, positive image with effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize a large workload, staying focused during frequent interruptions
- Good judgement and analytical skills with the ability to think and act quickly in stressful and high-pressure situations
- Ability to remain objective and diplomatic, using mature judgement, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Proficient in the use of RCMP and County software and equipment including: PROS, CPIC, ROADS, JOIN, CIIDS, ROSS, PAT
Qualifications
- Post-secondary specialized training/certificate in a related field and 5 years related work experience
- Experience in a policing, law enforcement, and/or justice environment is considered an asset
- Recognized supervisory development training and experience
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to obtain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Salary Range: $70,585.20 - $88,212.80
