As an Information Technology Senior Systems Analyst your focus will be on software application portfolio management (APM), the goal of which is to optimize the application portfolio to maximize value to the corporation. You are a self-motivated individual who is a strategic thinker, yet practical, while passionate about results and making a difference. You are a strong influencer who develops trusted relationships and demonstrates initiative, a customer service focus, positive ambassadorship, and the ability to meet commitments. You have experience in designing software solutions, including application, data, process and technology components. You enjoy business engagement and using technology to reduce complexity and improve business outcomes. This challenging position will provide you with valuable experience and professional growth. Primary duties include:
• Conduct reviews and analysis of software applications and systems.
• Synthesize inputs from architects, developers, analysts, management, and business to develop recommendations aligned with business and corporate goals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce complexity.
• Assist with the creation of business cases.
• Convert document-based information into analytical models.
• Enhance and maintain a repository of portfolio information.
• Monitor application lifecycle and assist in the development of roadmaps.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, metrics and other documentation as required.
• Assist with development and implementation of standards and developing a practice.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with at least 4 years of related experience; OR
• A completed 2-year technology diploma from a recognized education institution with at least 8 years of related experience is required.
• Experience with each of the following is required:
o Designing software solutions
o Development of architecture and/or information/data models
o Analyzing systems and processes and producing reports with recommendations
• Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
o Technical support of applications, including customization and/or script development
o Business analysis
o Municipal, other government or equivalent related organizations
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Pay Grade 13 $46.38 - $62.06 per hour
