EXPERIENCE
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in managing projects, successfully conveying technical issues to stakeholders, strong research and evaluation skills in cost/benefit analysis.
• Demonstrated abilities in Corporate core competencies including communication, customer service, teamwork, initiative/innovation, personal effectiveness, problem solving/judgment, scheduling, planning and flexibility.
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve and meet deadlines, often with competing priorities
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND CERTIFICATION
• Successful completion of a University Degree or College Diploma, in Environmental Studies or related field.
• Certificate in Project Management would be an asset.
• Strong understanding of waste management policy and initiatives and related legislation and their potential impacts.
• Thorough knowledge of municipal waste management programs and practices.
• Demonstrated project management experience in waste management.
• Valid Ontario Class “G” drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Computer literacy utilizing Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, presentation, multi-tasking skills, and communication skills.
• Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire.
$33.58 - $42.25 per hour (as per Collective Agreement CUPE 5820.01)
