Requirements include: completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; a two year diploma in a related field; five years progressive experience working with a government agency or private contractor doing road maintenance activities and road/sidewalk construction including extensive experience and/or training in road maintenance and construction, estimating and time management; considerable experience and training in administering a snow and ice control program; experience in project management including planning, budgeting, cost estimating and scheduling; minimum of one year supervisory experience in a related operational area; must be eligible for registration in the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC) or possess an equivalent combined education and experience; possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and may require use of a personal vehicle that meets the requirements described in the Transportation Policy, available for use as and when required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week).
