Description
Parkland County has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time General Foreman.  Reporting to the Manager, Road Maintenance Service, this position is responsible for the coordination of all activities, staff, equipment, and other resources required to carry out road maintenance programs throughout Parkland County.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12. Post-Secondary Education in Construction Management or Civil Engineering would be an asset.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in the construction and maintenance of roadways in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Asset Management Systems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, provide effective customer service, sound technical advice, and inspire staff is required.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required. Class 3Q Operators license is an asset.

  • Competitive salary based on education and experience (range is $79,064 to $98,830 per annum) based on an 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week schedule
