Municipal operations are based in Falher, Alberta, ‘the Honey Capital of Canada’, in the heart of the scenic Peace Region. Productive farmland is interspersed with two towns, two villages, two hamlets and natural areas including those on the Little Smoky and Smoky Rivers, from which the municipality derives its name.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Public works management or supervisory background.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Team leadership experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with various computer software programs.
- A thorough understanding of procurement, tendering, and project management.
In addition, preference may be giving to candidates having:
- Accreditation as an Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer.
- Familiarity with provincial road, bridge, and water management programs.
- A working knowledge of geographic information systems, asset management programs and infrastructure grants.
- Road construction and maintenance experience.
- Experience with bylaws, policies, budgets, research and program development.
