Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and Cedar Hill Golf Course: Arts, Racquet Sports, Fitness, Community recreation programs, 18 Hole Golf Course and Food Services.
Responsibilities include building innovative and effective teams, providing leadership, supervision and direction of staff engaged in administration, building maintenance, programming, facility scheduling and various other operations involved in the delivery of a comprehensive offering of recreation and well-being programs and facility services. The Manager establishes and maintains effective communications with all facility user groups, and works with other Departments to support business delivery on infrastructure improvements and capital projects. As a member of the Division leadership team, the Manager participates in the formulation of long and short term plans, budgets, policies and procedures.
A strong background in recreation programming and community development is essential as well as being a motivated, entrepreneurial strategic thinker with proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to service delivery.
Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor Degree in recreation administration or related discipline; six years experience in the provision of recreation services including three years experience in leading customer-centric teams and/or facility management; satisfactory police information check and a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License with a personal vehicle available for use as and when required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
