As an Engineering Technician IV, you will assist with the review of subdivision and development applications with respect to site servicing, perform project scoping, manage the design and delivery of engineering projects from the concept phase through to construction completion including overseeing a team of consultants; respond to public inquiries; provide technical support to internal construction crews; liaise with/make recommendations to the Engineering of Record regarding design changes; and participate in intra or inter-departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a sound technical foundation, strong project management skills, refined organization skills, and effective communication skills.
Requirements include a two-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution; a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience; eligibility for registration as an AScT with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians BC; a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License; a personal vehicle available for use as and when required and is conversant with computer based engineering applications including AutoCAD.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week).
