Completion of a recognized University Degree in Business Administration such as Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field and a recognized professional accounting designation; along with progressive related experience with municipal exposure of at least eight (8) years. Candidates who possess Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) designation would be an asset. The preferred candidate will have the highest level of ethics and provide proactive, creative analysis and solutions in accomplishing the strategic priorities and financial direction set by Council. Candidates must have senior management experience with responsibilities for leadership and direction of financial services operations, strategic business planning, financial budget and business planning, innovation, fiscal accountability/sustainability within a public sector environment.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability in budget, financial and project management, partnerships, and community consultation. In addition, knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, investment and debt management, provincial/federal funding programs, property taxation, and auditing principles and practices. Previous experience with Vadim iCity Enterprise financial software, RAC Software Inc., FMW Web and Public Sector Digest CityWide software are considered an asset.
The Town offers an annual salary range of $118,566 to $138,706.
