DUTIES:
- Responsible for the daily management of all Health and Safety related documentation as per the City of Timmins Corporate policy.
- Provide clerical support for all Health and Safety matters including claims management, training, contractors, injury reporting, Joint Health and Safety Committees, etc….
- Update, prepare, produce and distribute various departmental reports.
- Provide receptionist duties as required for the Health and Safety Department.
- Maintain training calendar and book training as required.
- Maintain safety talks and workplace inspection and training records.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate and a 2 year Community College diploma in Business/Office Administration or Health and Safety.
- Minimum of two (2) years related office experience in a Health and Safety and/or Human Resources Environment.
- Previous experience in WSIB claims reporting procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
- Knowledge of WSIB regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Able to multitask in multiple disciplines of Health & Safety.
- Knowledge of Parklane and Laserfiche software considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organization skills.
- Current and Clear Criminal Background Check.
- Proficiency in both official languages mandatory.
As per City of Timmins Non Union remuneration system.
