Reporting to the Population Growth Manager, the Arts and Culture Coordinator will uphold our community’s reputation as an arts and cultural hub of Canada. The Arts and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in the strategic planning and implementation of arts and culture related programming. The Coordinator will work within a team that is dedicated to facilitating growth, and creating the most sustainable economic and cultural future for the Saint John community.
Research and analysis is a key facet of this role, and will require capacity in the development of qualitative and quantitative reports and briefings.
Portfolio will require presentation to a variety of audiences, including, but not limited to: Common Council, Growth Committee, Saint John Community Arts Board and Saint John Local Immigration Partnership.
This role will require work beyond core business hours; a flexible work schedule will be expected for this role.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the arts, culture, and/or economic development field.
A university degree in planning, social sciences, arts, public administration, business or a related discipline, preferably at a graduate level.
Demonstrated skills in research, writing and presentation development.
Prior group facilitation and briefing senior management will be considered an asset.
Proficiency in both official languages is an asset.
