As an Information Systems Business Analyst, some of your duties will include:
- Managing and coordinating WPS business units Information and Technology needs by developing, analyzing, evaluating, designing, implementing and providing technical solutions on specific WPS systems and projects to ensure the highest level of efficiency and integrity.
- Providing overall System Administration and Support to the WPS RMS software and other WPS systems
- Project management and execution
- Providing technical recommendations and testing
- Assessing the overall data integrity of WPS major applications/systems in particular the RMS application on an ongoing basis and assist users to create processes to improve the quality of this data.
- Providing training related materials and documenting all changes to RMS and other WPS computer systems
- Researching information technology and providing business/technical consultation on hardware and software
- Other duties as assigned by the service
Your experience includes:
- University Degree in Computer Science (or related field), or Commerce
- OR a college diploma in Business Information Technology (or related field) or Business Administration and demonstrated equivalent experience and expertise
- 36 months related Business Analysis or project management experience
- Experience in using computer systems/applications and other technology
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) (preferred)
Requirements include:
- 18 years of age
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated ability to successfully complete job-related testing, as administered by the Service, prior to proceeding in the selection process
- Ability to meet and maintain the standards of a Winnipeg Police Service security check / background investigation and required police clearances
- No involvement in any criminal activity within the last two years (including illegal drugs)
- No criminal record for which a Pardon has not been granted
